Lady Gaga, who admits she still does drugs sometimes and starves herself to stay thin, was hospitalized six times in 2009 due to her extreme dieting.

At least that's what her former tour manager David Ciemny claims in his new book: Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga.

VICIOUS CYCLE OF BINGING AND STARVING

Gaga, 24, who almost fainted a couple of times during her concerts, would binge on sweets and junk food and then starve herself for weeks in order to fit into her tight stage costumes, says Ciemny.

“When I say she was sick, I mean physically and mentally,” David told Radar, adding that Gaga once lost 20 pounds in between fittings.

Gaga, who revealed that she was teased as a child for being "fat and ugly," also has unhealthy co-dependent relationships with her employees.

Ciemny's s wife Angela says Gaga was so afraid to be alone that she would cuddle up next to her in bed before her performances and afterward would ask her to stay with her overnight (not for sex, but for company).

“I would say, ‘Gaga, I have a husband to go home to," Angela recounts in the book. "I’ll be in the room next door. She’d call and text me, ‘I miss you, Ange, can you come back?’ So I would.

“We literally would do our make up together every morning and get ready for bed together at night.”

'I'M SO LONELY'

Lady Gaga's recent revelations would seem to support the Ciemny's accounts.

“I’m perpetually lonely," Gaga has said. "I’m lonely when I’m in relationships. It’s my condition as an artist. I’m drawn to bad romances. And my song [Bad Romance] is about whether I go after those [sort of relationships] or if they find me.”
