Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, who's serving a 2-game ban for elbowing Malaga's

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo turned 25 Feb. 5, but won't get his birthday wish of playing in Madrid's game against Espanyol on Feb. 6.
'I JUST WANT TO PLAY'
"The best gift I could get is to be allowed to play against Espanyol," Ronaldo told reporters Friday.

Cristiano was fined $843 and was banned from playing two games after elbowing Mtiliga in the face and accidentally breaking his nose. [see the video here]
Ronaldo insisted the occurrence was an accident, but the Spanish football federation concluded that Cris engaged in "dangerous play that caused harm" to his opponent. 
Meanwhile, Cristiano's family and his agent Jorge Mendes are in Madrid to celebrate the Portuguese soccer stud's birthday.
FAMILY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
Earlier this week, Ronaldo was photographed practicing with his Real Madrid teammates at Bernabeu Stadium. Cristiano was in good spirits, joking around and laughing with his mates.
Ronaldo made international headlines last summer when Manchester United agreed to sell him to Madrid for a stunning $131 million transfer fee, making him the most expensive player in European football history.
Cristiano, who has been playing soccer since age three, is one of the leanest, fastest and fittest athletes to grace the world stage.

'I WANT TO BE THE BEST OF ALL TIME'
During his six years at United, Ronaldo won three Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, an FA Cup and the FIFA World Club Cup, as well as the FIFA Player of the Year title.
Despite all his success, Cris has no intention of resting on his laurels. "I want to get better and better," he says. "My ambition is huge."
