This Single Ladies star has made quite the name for herself lately and Billboard magazine is giving Beyonce the cherry on top - Billboard magazine's 2009 "Woman of the Year" award.
Billboard mag hosts their recognition every year to bring the top 30 women in the music industry into the spotlight.
The 28-year-old Houston-native claimed her prize for "Woman of the Year" at a gala brunch in New York this weekend - Adding the award to her already extensive repertoire.
“Beyonce is a multi-platinum artist and a multi-talented woman who clearly embodies the qualities of excellence and achievement that the Billboard Woman of the Year Award was created to honor,” Billboard magazine editorial director Bill Werde said.
Beyonce's 2009 "Woman of the Year" nomination was her 15th nomination for a Billboard award and seventh winning honor.
“She has not only influenced pop culture with her hit songs and her signature dance moves, but has inspired women everywhere with her unique style, business savvy and dedication to charitable causes."
He added, “It is theoretically possible someone on some other planet had a better year than Beyonce, but I’m not buying it."
The singer was recently in the press for saving Taylor Swift on stage and later published again when she serenaded a girl stricken with Leukemia onstage in Australia.
The singer's persona is worthy of cloning but so is the star's hot body.
Beyonce has often admitted she isn't a fan of working out, but the pressure of being a celebrity is her guiding force into the gym.
“I do circuit training and run about two-and-a-half miles every day," The Bootylicious star said. "When I was in my best shape I got up at 6am, so I’m trying to do that again - but I’m not there yet … I do a lot of things with my trainer, but I don’t enjoy working out"
While Beyonce isn't a fan of sweatin' it out to keep it in, she keeps fitness change-ups in her back pocket o keep her regime interesting. How? The star makes working out easy by doing something she loves. A couple of months ago the star known for her dance moves picked up ballet to get her booty back in shape.
And on "being a woman" Beyonce said in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine that she knows it isn't easy being a woman.
“I think it’s tough being a woman – we’re so critical of each other and we put too much emphasis on the way we look. We accept men, but we’re not as forgiving with ourselves.”![]()
