Thigh high boots are back in a big way this upcoming season. All of the hottest designers have already had their models trotting down the runways in these extravagant boots. Remember Carrie Bradshaw in the "Sex and the City" movie donning a pair of them with a long fur coat and a chic fedora? No matter what you think about the look - thigh high boots can work with many different outfits and are a staple for any fashion forward woman.
A few tips on how to wear these boots:
- Unless you are in the dominatrics profession (or you're Heidi Klum - pictured here), steer away from pairing leather with leather boots
- Pair them with opaque, lacy, or patterned tights and a sweater dress
- Tuck your skinny jeans into them paired with a loose blouse

I'm not sure if I am ready to go all the way to thigh high but I have been searching all summer for over the knee boots to wear this fall. But now knowing this I might have to try searching for thigh high too. Thanks for the tip!

I love the concept of thigh high boots, but I don't think someone who is really short can pull them off. What do you think Sarah? Please tell me that even a shorty like me can wear them!
Courtney-of course a shorty like you can wear thigh high boots! Try to make sure you get a pair with a heel higher than 3" (it's all about heel height this season!) Pair them with shorter skirts/dresses/sweater cardigans so you can create the illusion of a longer leg. Try leggings or opaque tights too! Hope that helps! Rock 'dem boots!!
