Shaniya Davis was a 5-year-old little girl that was sold by her mother to pay off a drug debt.. Antoinette Davis who had reported her daughter missing six days before her body had been found, has been charged with trafficking her daughter, child abuse and prostitution.
Mario McNeill has been charged with first-degree murder
and first-degree rape of a child. Authorities report that Shaniya was met her death by strangulation. Her body was found in bags with deer remains.
The funeral was held last Sunday and received an outpouring of people who came to pay their condolences to a family they’d never met, and a little girl who reached out and touched their hearts.

O'Neal is a 2009 inductee of the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

This was so sad to me for I am the mother of a 7 year old and suddenly found myself in tears. My heart goes out to the family.
I cry everyday for this child. I don't think I will ever get over this and I know I won't forget it. God sent this angel to her family and they didn't appreciate her so he took her back. Tears....... God Bless you Shaq.
This is a terrible story with a wonderful ending. Good for you Shaq I just wish more sports figures, celebrities and others with the means would do more random acts of kindness. Maybe they already do but just keep it quiet.
Shaq is awesome. He was giving out turkeys in Cleveland this week. He also will be going to one of our local Toys R Us stores on Christmas Eve and giving out tons of gifts. He has just moved to this area - actually the next city over from me - and we are starting to hear of many of his unselfish acts of kindness. I had no idea he was such a sweetheart. Thanks for the story Maria! I'm smiling!
i have to say her mother is so craxy for doing that to a little 5 year old she is very stupid in the man who didi the syuff to her im glad they are im jail. she was so cute i love that lilttle girl i didn`t know her but still.R.I.P
