LV Weekly Examined, Vegas' Best Tao Party

Las Vegas’ free entertainment bible found all over the city from casinos, to gas stations, and smoke shops, the Las Vegas Weekly, held a big time party celebrating its Vegas' Best of issue and feel good bash for itself at Tao, at the Venetian last night on the Strip.

Publisher Bruce Spotelson, gave an inspirational thank you speech to all those attending, complimented staff, and looked to towards an exciting future for the news stand entertainment glossy magazine, that Vegans use to keep up Vegas happenings and leave on coffee tables through out the city.

Over the last decade they have morphed into an Internet look on information presentation, leaving feature article writing in the back ground, opting for fast top 10 information, easy to digest for its on the go readership.  Following the got to have it now, quick information trend that the Internet has ingrained on the new information generation, they continue  to forge ahead.

Their full-page glossy ads have become cool pop art. Their powerful and mostly sexy ads, usually with a celebrity offering, at the one of sin city’s many club venues, which exploded into a fierce competition over the last 4 years, has become picture frame worthy pop art.

For local clubbers and visiting tourists it is a must carry around, to filter through, which venue to land oneself at and on which night of the week. Each Thursday it is left in racks for free distribution, relying on its mega one page advertising for revenue.

Despite two major layoffs due to the economy in Vegas, the most recent a few weeks ago of production and writing staff, they remain optimistic and filled with incredible glossy ads for the future of their publication. Their latest move, was a huge investment on line, to reproduce on line what they have done in print.

The online will never be the print version coolness it has become. But all the information is still there and they are able to put a wider variety of photos on their web pages, but missing are those beautiful and pop art worthy full page ads.

Tao can easily claim a top position in the Vegas club scene and this celebrity event was top notch as guests mingled in this spiritually fused night club atmosphere, that has décor cues from Asian temples.

The special events Captain, Joshua Kleitz, native Vegan, did another above and beyond, high-powered and classy job, directing his staff and making attendees glad they had come and experienced this magnificent venue during the Vegas' Best event.

The Las Vegas Weekly as been and will be, for along time to come, the locals and tourists bible to have in hand while out on a sin city night or day.
