Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman goes to Bikini Heaven
All eyes took just a moment to see and hear Las Vegas' illustrious Mayor Oscar Goodman, as he made his official proclamation to shut down part of Las Vegas Boulevard to host the attempt and the Worlds largest Bikini Parade to get sin city in the World Book of Guinness!
Flanked by his two showgirls, in their best red outfits, he made the announcement at the base of the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Mayor Goodman wanted the world to know a month early, that Las Vegas has already started the summer party of 2009.
In Grand Las Vegas style, Holly Madison, soon to be Vegas resident, hosted the event with the intent of garnering a world record.
Following the proclamation the Mayor and attending media were treated to a vintage bikini runway show with the Welcome to Las Vegas sign as a backdrop against the Las Vegas Strip.
Following the event, the propetually in promotion motion, Las Vegas Mayor headed of to another parade downtown, marking the 75th Anniversary of Helldorado days with PRCA Rodeo, Carnival, and a host of other events.
It was just another day in the life of the Mayor of the most exciting city on the planet, the honorable Oscar Goodman, who went to bikini heaven Thursday.
