Saturday evening was a time of reflection and remorse as the late David Carradine was laid to rest in a funeral ceremony that gathered hundreds of stars to mourn the passing of a beloved friend. David Carridine died on June 4th in a Bangkok hotel room.

The Kung Fu star was found bound and hanging which has led to the speculation about the circumstances of his death and whether sex play was involved. The FBI has been asked to assist in the investigations.

David Carradine has been known for his roles in Kill Bill and perhaps is best known for his role in Kung Fu as Kwai Chang Caine. He used his celebrity status to support causes that fought abuse, sought a cure for AIDS, advocated children's rights and fought against hunger and poverty.

Carradine was a huge supporter of the charity organization Food 4 Africa, a charity that seeks to provide children with one vitamin and mineral enriched meal a day. Food 4 Africa works with multiple organizations to fight malnutrition and starvation.

A memorial notice has been placed on their website about the loss of David Carradine, whom they refer to as a faithful patron, and condolences have been given to Carradine's wife Annie and the rest of his family.

We here at Celebrity Charity Examiner also wish to express our condolences to the family of David Carradine. We pray that the answers they seek are found and that some solace can be taken in looking at the charitable work that Mr. Carradine had done through out his 72 years of life.

If you wish to support the charity that David Carradine supported, you can make a donation at the Food 4 Africa website. Your donation will go to providing food for children and to the education of their caregivers about the necessity of good nutrition.
