Whether you lover her, hate her, admire her or loathe the headlines about her Angelina Jolie is a celebrity charity guru to be reckoned with. She has used her celebrity status to raise money, awareness and support for causes such as the Cancer Schmancer Movement, Human Rights Watch, Global Action for Children, Reporters without Borders, UNICEF not to mention the Jolie- Pitt Foundation and many other charitable organizations.
Angelina Jolie is also the Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) which is dedicated to protecting refugees and solving the refugee problem worldwide. During her field time for UNHCR, Jolie wrote and published Notes from My Travels (a collection of journal entries) where the proceeds from the sales of the books went to UNHCR.
Jolie used her celebrity status to raise money while she was pregnant also. She made a deal with People magazine to print the first pictures of her pregnancy for a $500,000 donation to charity.
Oprah, who is also known for her philantropic efforts, has been booted from the number one spot on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list and has been replaced in the number one spot with Angelina Jolie. Her husband Brad Pitt made number nine on the list of ultra-famous celebrities. Pitt and Jolie combined have raised millions for various charities in the United States and around the world.

Count me in the love her group. I admire her work, especially the movie she made about Daniel Pearl, the name of which always escapes me. And, to prove how old I am, I loved her in Hackers too. A Might Heart--that's the name of it. Great movie. Changeling is good too.
