Playboy models Victoria Eisermann and Monica Harris joined together with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) today in Trafalgar Square in order to raise awareness about World Water Day. Eisermann and Harris placed an old-fashioned bath tub in Trafalgar Square today filled with bath water and bath bubbles as well as signs which read “50 Baths=1 steak, Clean your conscience: Go vegan.” The Playboy models sat inside the bathtub, sans clothing, and attracted the attention of passersby as well as the rest of the world in order to raise awareness for World Water Day and PETA.
According to Logan Scherer of PETA, “You can save more water by not eating 1 pound of beef than you can by giving up showers for an entire year. In addition to saving the lives of more than 100 animals per year, going vegan is the best way to conserve water and the most sustainable way of life for people and the planet.”
World Water Day began in 1992 at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro in order to raise global awareness and create an initiative to help promote water conservation throughout the world. Hundreds of non-profits and individuals are holding their own World Water Day events throughout the world today in order to support the cause.
Victoria Eisermann and Monica Harris are avid PETA supporters and have been spotted throughout the UK in recent years raising awareness for PETA’s causes. It is only natural that the Playboy models support World Water Day in conjunction with PETA.
