When Elton John and his partner David Furnish were unable to adopt a Ukrainian boy because of the current Ukrainian adoption laws, the couple vowed to work something out with the boy and his family to allow the couple to help care for the boy in some capacity. Elton John and David Furnish are still attempting to be a part of Lev's life, but now they want to be a part of changing the laws in the Ukraine.
Though neither Elton John nor David Furnish are Ukrainian and though neither one has ever lived in Ukraine, their celebrity should obviously entitle them to dictate the laws of the country. The cultural and religious beliefs of the more than 46 million people of that country pale in the face of the needs of a British rock singer. Let's hope that Ukrainian officials allow foreign singers to make all of their laws.
"We were upset not to be allowed to adopt but we'll fight and work with the Ukrainian government to change the law so that HIV-positive children can be adopted," Furnish recently told Hello! magazine. He also stated that the couple will discuss their plans during the Christmas holiday. The summit between these two statesmen will surely result in a better life for all of Ukraine.

''NO'' to letting adopt children to gay couples in any country. I don't blame the Ukrainian government. i wouldn't want to be adopted by gays.
