David Jackson is a devout Catholic who is involved in numerous ministries. He helps teach the RCIA program and serves on the liturgy committee at his home parish, St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Beaverton, Oregon. Additionally, he serves as a lector and extraordinary minister of the Holy Eucharist. David is a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, and is the current President of the Board of Directors of Northwest Family Services. He has written commentaries published in the Catholic Sentinel, National Catholic Register, Catholic Exchange, and the Oregonian. A cradle Catholic who left the faith for fifteen years before experiencing a conversion similar to St. Augustine, David has a passion for Church history and the writings of the early Church Fathers. He and his wife Kathy are the Sector Couple of Teams of Our Lady of Oregon, a lay order of married couples. They live in Portland, Oregon.
