Homosexual clergy invited to leave the Catholic Priesthood

The Italian Socialist magazine Panorama, recently ran an expose on three homosexual "priests" of the Diocese of Rome.

Panorama, famous for it secularly ultra-liberalism and militant atheism, used sweeping generalizations of all priests of the Diocese of Rome, which is under the direct leadership of Pope Benedict XVI.

Cleaning Out The Filth

In response to Panorama, the Diocese of Rome released the following statement (in part); (Emphasis mine)

"The essence of the Church of Rome is not found in those with "'double lives,' who haven't understood what 'Catholic priesthood' (is) and should not have become priests."

"Know that no one forces them to remain priests, exploiting only the benefits."

"Coherence would require them to come into the open. We don't wish to hurt them, but we cannot accept that due to their behavior the integrity of the all the rest might be tarnished."

"Before such facts we firmly adhere to what the Holy Father Benedict XVI has repeated several times in recent months: 'the sins of priests' call us all back to conversion of heart and life and to be vigilant so as not to 'pollute the faith and Christian life, damaging the integrity of the Church, weakening her capacity of prophecy and testimony, tarnishing the beauty of her face'."

Attacks From Within

Pope Benedict has repeatedly referred to homosexuals within the priesthood as well as those who advocate such as "filth" and "pollution" to the Christian Faith.

Unfortunately, under the banner of "in the spirit of Vatican II"  there has been resistance within his own Church to Pope Benedict's efforts to cleans Catholicism from the sewage and scandals that have shaken Catholicism to it's foundation in the last forty years.

The Pendulum Swings

But under Benedict's leadership, there has been a quiet, but steady, shift to a more traditional, orthodox Catholicism that was prevalent prior to the Second Vatican Council of the 1960's.

Young, traditional men are entering the seminaries; young, traditional women are entering the convents.

Meanwhile, the numbers of those clerics and Religious who still embrace the 60's and 70's attitude of essentially being Social Workers instead of being Catholic priests and nuns have seen their number whither away while time works the biological solution to their abandonment of their vows.

Call To All

In general, I call on all Catholic Bishops to follow the example of The Holy Father in the cleansing of our Sacred Priesthood.

Specifically, I call on my own Bishop, H.E. Michael Burbidge of the Diocese of Raleigh, to set the example and be the first in the United States to emulate the Holy Father's example.

Are you saying this man is homosexual?

I ask this because you may have just libeled yourself.

No Xenon, I asked that he emulate his example. Do you understand the meaning of "emulate the example"? Obviously not.

Is this *REALLY* that hard for you to follow?

Unless Pope Benedict just excused himself from the Priesthood for being a homosexual, then there may be some merit to what you say. But that clearly isn't the case, now is it?

Do I really have to spell it out for you? Well, I just answered my own question. Yes -- I do.

great article...homosexuals were never and will never be permitted within the Catholic clergy: and all those who think they defied Catholic teaching will be exposed here or in the hereafter. The Church has needed a "cleaning" for a long time! It is so wonderful to see all these traditional (old & new) orders bringing forth so many young seminarians and future nuns!

A Priest TRUE to his Vocation wouldn't have a problem obeying the Holy Father's teaching.
