Okay, not exactly a headline that will have people clamoring for tickets, but read on…
It’s a good old-fashioned talent show; or new-fashioned if you want to compare it to American Idol-type shows. Perhaps the best part is that it’s for charity and, you know, it might just be a lot of fun, even if you don’t have a rooting interest in the contestants.
The employees at Trump Taj Mahal, Trump Plaza and Trump Marina are putting on the show that is billed as the First Annual Tri-Property Talent Show, Thursday, November 12 at 6 pm, in the Xanadu Theatre at Trump Taj Mahal.
A $1,000 cash prize will be awarded to the employee who is judged to be the most talented, with second and third place contestants also winning prizes.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 children (5 to 12 years) and will benefit The United Way’s 2009-2010 Campaign. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance through the finalists.
Just maybe this will be one of those moments when you exit the theater and say to your companions ‘you know that (fill in the blank) should be a professional at (fill in the blank).’
