With the recent release of her third album, America's country music sweetheart Carrie Underwood has been all over your television screens lately and she's not going away anytime soon. CNN just announced that Underwood will perform at the third annual “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute” ceremony which honors everyday citizens who are making a difference in their communities and beyond according to the official press release for the gala.
The program will air globally on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26 at 9pm ET on all CNN channels. Anderson Cooper will host the event from the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, the very place where Underwood won the support of millions around the nation when she was crowned the 2005 American Idol.
It may have been four years ago but Underwood seems to still be America's idol; her new record Play On debuted at the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 200 music charts last week. Its' first single “Cowboy Casanova” is the fastest chart-topper of the year by a country female artist.
The country music industry has definitely noticed Underwood's achievements for her young age. She is the reigning 2009 ACM Entertainer of the Year; an honor that only seven women in the industry have.
Underwood is fresh off of co-hosting the 43rd Annual CMA Awards with Brad Paisley. She currently has three CMA 'Female Vocalist of the Year' awards.
Next Underwood will compete for the title of 'Country Favorite Female Artist' at the American Music Awards which air live on Nov. 22 at 8PM ET on ABC.
If history works in her favor, she is sure to win the title!

Hopefully she dresses better than on the cma's. She is so pretty and just doesn't look right in trampy clothes trying to be sexy. She is naturally that in regular clothes. Also, I hope she sings something country I hate her new song. She has such a wonderful voice and wastes it on Last Name and Cowboy cassanova. When she first came out she had great songs and when she sings tributes or covers other songs she sounds awesome. I don not know how her latest song is number one it sucks big time.
