Rally and fund raiser for John Wilson on December 14 - Medical marijuana patient suffers from MS

Somerville, New Jersey.  John Wilson faces 20 years in prison for growing 17 marijuana plants that he used to treat his Multiple Sclerosis. Wilson was told by Superior Court Judge Robert Reed during a pre-trial hearing that he may not let the jury know that he has MS, or that his use of marijuana was an attempt to treat his disease. This ruling effectively removes Wilson’s only defense for his actions. Wilson is self-employed, has no health insurance and faces mounting legal bills.

In the photo above, an MS patient is transferred into a EasyStand Shadow Tray stander via a Liko overhead rail system. Lift systems like this make transfers safer and easier.

As John Wilson's Multiple Sclerosis progresses, the New Jersey prison system will have to pay for a lot of expensive medical equipment to take care of him during his 20 year incarceration.

Companies on the forefront of medical marijuana research such as Cannabis Science Inc. say that marijuana delays the onset and lessens the severity of diseases such as MS.  To learn more read about Endocannabinoids and free radicals - Cannabis Science Inc.

How can they call that justice? It's hard to imagine being on trial and not even being allowed to present all the evidence.

It's a stacked deck when you can't even mention why you did something. I believe that's called a kangaroo court when the outcome is know before the trail starts. How can one be expected to an oath to tell the truth then law and order gags you? It's not justice, it's just law and order. Remember Oliver Wendall Holmes? "This is not a court of justice. It's a court of law." And that's exactly how the 'justice' system works to the favor of the law and order crowd and not regular citizens. It's just another example of a gov't out of touch with its citizens.

Thank you for the article. Keep up the good work!

"The AMA supports the concept of drug approval by scientific and regulatory review to establish safety and efficacy, combined with appropriate standards for identity, strength, quality, purity, packaging, and labeling, rather than by ballot initiative or state legislative action." ...

"However, the patchwork of state-based systems that have been established for “medical marijuana” is woefully inadequate in establishing even rudimentary safeguards that normally would be applied to the appropriate clinical use of psychoactive substances. The future of cannabinoid-based medicine lies in the rapidly evolving field of botanical drug substance development, as well as the design of molecules that target various aspects of the endocannabinoid system."

    Interesting isn't that!?
So, when he gives the oath to tell "the truth, the whole truth & nothing but the truth" I hope his lawyer asks "Why did you have 17 Marijuana plants?" he says "I was told by the courts I could not explain about my medical reasons".
Let the jury know how sick & twisted our system has become in order to fight the inevitable social acceptance of a PLANT.
