Jeannie and Jack Herer - a marijuana love story with a happy hemp oil ending

.

Against all odds, Jack Herer has rebounded from the massive heart attack he suffered at the Portland Hempfest on September 12.

As the Cannabis community watched and prayed for Jack, journalism at its worst unfolded before our horrified eyes.  A columnist (at Examiner.com - not myself ) reported that Jack was dead.  Other false reports followed on Google news. It seemed true.  Jack was dead.  But where were the supporting statements from the coroner, the doctor, the hospital.

I contacted the other Examiner.com reporter and inquired if he had verified his sources and he emailed back that a source close to the family had provided the information to him.

The medical marijuana community was in mourning for one of our greatest inspiring personalities.

Meanwhile, Jeannie Herer, was at Jack's bedside in Legacy Emanuel Hospital. "Reporters had been emailing me for the status of Jack's condition", she said.  "I was starting to lose hope but I never told them he was dead."

"All of the sudden these morbid stories were flying around.  And then the reporters found out they were wrong."

The Examiner.com columnist (not me) submitted an apology and with his retraction.  Everyone prayed for Jack's speedy recovery and tried to raise money to help Jeannie with what surely would be a long road to recovery.

Everyone, that is except for Steve Cherms and Joy Graves.  It is one of the most bizarre tales in the history of Cannabis litigation -click here for an amazing read.

If you have been following the complicated litigation, that Cherms and Graves concocted with their witches brew, you gotta know they are kooks!  But unlike some of the more outrageous legal decisions the medical marijuana community has come to expect in recent years, Jeannie and Jack were awarded a just ruling.  Click here to read the court order.

On Sunday night, while the entire country was glued to their television sets watching the Super Bowl, Jeannie was at the Herer's new home in Eugene, getting ready for Jack's homecoming.

This is my big week.  I’m hoping that all Jack’s supplies come in so he can come home this week .  The VA ordered them last week.  I'm waiting for meds, the bed  and the tube food.

If the bed doesn't arrive Jack can still come home.  The generous Cannabis community has made donations for his bed.  I can rent one for a month while I keep looking for other options.

While Jeannie made preparations to resume life with Jack, their roomate Beau went to the hospital to watch the Super Bowl with Jack.  That information was mind-blowing.  Just a couple weeks ago, someone (an insider) at the MMP 15th Annual Gala had insisted that Jack would be brain-dead for the rest of his life. Can Jack Herer really watch the Super Bowl?

Jack can sit up with assistance (the bed can be cranked up and he is propped up with pillows).  The television is on the ceiling.  He looks to the right and looks interested.  He follows the picture.

When Jack comes home this week we can speed up the healing.  This oil is amazing.

As Jack's attorney, I am relieved that the purported Power of Attorney has been revoked by the Oregon Court and that his son and wife are now back in control. Our prayers are with Jack.

This article does indeed cover everything. I am glad you included the links in your article. One only needs to spend about half an hour online to find out the true nature of Joy and Steve. Talk to a few people in the Sacramento area involved in the medical cannabis community, and you get an even better idea who they are and what they are about. None of it is anything Jack or Jeannie would ever involve themselves with. Bill McPike and his wife are two of the most honest people I know. He has the TRUE facts! Joy, Steve and their cronies need to crawl uder a rock and stay out of other peoples lives period. I will be watching for continued coverage here, where the sources are reliable!
