News source popeater.com reports that thanks to a Colorado judge temporarily relaxing a restraining order against actor Charlie Sheen, the actor was able to be at his wife's side when surgery for an impacted tooth led to double pneumonia and a rush to a local hospital's intensive care unit.
Sheen and his wife of less than 2 years made headlines over the Christmas holiday when the well-known actor was arrested on charges of 2nd degree assault, menacing, and criminal mischief at the couple's home in Aspen, Colorado.
Brooke Mueller, mother of Charlie's infant twin sons, claims that the Two And A Half Men star held a knife to her throat and made threats against her life following a party that included both alcohol and cocaine.
TMZ reports when police tested the couple for blood alcohol levels, Brook's result was .13 to Charlie's .04.
Since then, the couple have lived separately and an order of protection from the state was issued.
Though hubby has refuted his wife's claims, and nasty allegations were made by both parties, he sought to have the restraining order put aside and spent time at her bedside at Sherman Oaks Hospital in California.
Popeater.com revealed the court's decision. "Defendant may be in Ms. Sheen's presence in the hospital and may communicate with her in the hospital where she has been admitted so long as she remains in the hospital and admitted to the hospital for medical reasons."
The order goes on to state, "Defendant shall terminate any contact immediately upon the request of Ms. Sheen or any of her health care providers. No communication shall violate the 'no harassment' terms of the Protection Order."
The newly reconciled couple was to appear before the court on Friday, in regards to the Christmas morning arrest; however, The Associated Press reports that due to Brook's illness the case has been postponed until next month.
Azcentral.com reports the notorious bad boys' personal life has seen almost as much action privately as on screen.
In 1990 Sheen fiance Kelly Preston was accidentally shot in the arm by the Hot Shots actor and required two stitches. In 1995 he admitted being a customer to famous Hollywood hooker Heidi Fleiss. In 1998 the star accidentally overdosed on cocaine.
