Today, Colorado Judge James B. Boyd charged actor Charlie Sheen with 3 counts including felony menacing, 3rd degree assault, and criminal mischief for an incident which took place at the Sheen's rented home in Aspen on Christmas morning.
Though The Los Angeles Times reports the Colorado judge did modify the restraining order against the Two And A Half Men star and now allows him to see his wife, it was her phone call to police on Christmas morning saying she feared for her life after hubby held a knife to her throat that led to Sheen being arrested and subsequently charged.
According to wife Brooke Mueller's affidavit, the argument took place after she told her husband she wanted a divorce.
TMZ reports when police tested the couple for blood alcohol levels, Brook's result was .13 to Charlie's .04, though cocaine was also reported to have been a factor.
Since the incident on Dec. 25th, the couple have appeared to reconcile and Sheen was allowed to visit Mueller in the hospital after a life threatening complication from oral surgery.
Though the couple did embrace after this morning's court appearance, the couple left in separate vehicles.
The sitcom star will return to court on March 15th.

Dear Not Sure- You raise a valid question. I wish I had the technical expertise in which to answer it. What I can tell you is that my source of information on this matter came from a story by Los Angeles Times writer Amina Khan, listing the 3 charges as felonies. Though the LA Times link listed above does not take you to that particular article, you can find it on the web under the title "Charlie Sheen charged with 3 felonies in alleged assault on wife" (Sorry, the system does not allow me to post the link here.)
