Ben Smith over at Politico.com is reporting that the nervous Obama administration has taken over the Titanic of the Corzine campaign in order to ensure victory for the befuddled Democratic stooge of a governor.  Actually, that's not completely true.  They took over the campaign to usurp yet another independent organization's autonomy and ensure that this White House didn't get a black eye in November.  They don't give a hoot about Corzine or New Jersey.  They just simply can't help themselves when it comes to seizing other people's power.

Smith writes in Politico that, "The White House was so concerned about Corzine's chances during the summer that Corzine's aides feared the first-term governor was being pressured to step aside for a stronger candidate. Those fears turned out to be groundless, but were part of the reason Corzine hired Joel Benenson, who has helped impose discipline on a struggling campaign and crystallize Corzine’s aggressive attacks on the character of his Republican opponent, former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie."

Of course, by "those fears turned out to be groundless" they mean "Corzine buckled in to our demands, so we didn't have to take him out."  Put your resume away Jim Florio!

Translation: the Chicago way has come to New Jersey.

Barack Obama, the energizer bunny of power usurpation, saw an opportunity and took it.  In the words of our glorious leader, "you can, uh, uh, uh, uh, put, uh, lipstick, on a, uh, uh, pig, but it's still, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, a pig."

It doesn't take but a second grade education to read between the lines that the "reason" that Corzine "hired" Benenson was under duress from the Obama thugs.  Corzine had no choice but to hire Benenson.  Without such a move, he would have been the victim of another Lautenberg move orchestrated by the world's greatest community organizer.  He may dither in the face of terrorists, dictators, and other assorted threats to national security, but he sure stands up to those pesky Americans.

Indeed, the many opponents of Obama have had to face the most vicious under-handed and vile political smears all in the name of promoting socialism, er, Obama.  Just ask Sarah Palin.

Of course, the vile attacks on Christie "throwing his weight around" now make much more sense.

This move to take over the Corzine campaign matches the pattern for Obama, who has already:  taken over most of the State Department's duties and put them in the White House, appointed countless unaccountable czars in what amounts to a shadow government, taken over the auto industry and has his pay czar cracking down on the autonomy of Wall Street.  All as he continues his rabid push to takeover the health care industry.

Does anyone else think the president is power hungry?

Don't get me wrong, anyone who was a former trainer for ACORN and a community organizer-turned-state senator is more than qualified to run all of these things and then some!  Why governing is so simple for Barry, that he's had more White House parties than any of his predecessors, and has spent more time on the golf course in less than one year than divisive lazy bones George W. Bush did in his entire tenure.

In essence, who cares that October was the highest casualty month in the entire war in Afghanistan when you can usurp private industry, party down with Stevie Wonder and get some time on the green?

It should concern New Jersey residents that the White House has played so pivotal a role in Corzine's campaign.  It is now clear that Obama, not Corzine, is calling the shots both in this campaign and in the state.  As a result, decisions in Trenton will not be made with New Jersey's best interests at heart, but rather with the goal of Obama's socialist utopia in mind.  A second term of Corzine will be even worse than the first term (if that is even possible) as the hapless Corzine won't just be the plaything of George Norcross, but also of ACORN's main man.

With folks in both Corzine and Obama's inner circles openly admitting that Corzine couldn't even run his own re-election campaign, is it any wonder that he can't run this state?

It's time to stop the power grabs by greedy politicians.  It's time to take back New Jersey.
