First amendment slowly strangled to death by Obama and his "czars"

A more appropriate running mate for Obama...

The First Amendment of the Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

The amendment, of course, is part of the Constitution's bill of rights. This portion of the Constitution was added to placate those who felt that the Constitution was not adequately protecting individual civil rights.

One has to note upon studying the Constitution that it isn't over 1,100 pages. It is astonishingly succinct and to the point. The language in the first amendment, for example states plainly that Congress "shall make NO law" regarding an establishment of religion, or abridging freedom of speech or the right to peaceably assemble. You would think that normal public servants with pure motives would understand those words and defend them. Sadly that could not be further from the truth with today's gaggle of governing socialist overlords.

It is true, that the court system and Congress had a field day in the 20th century slowly chipping away at the freedom of speech through various well-intentioned bills and laws, and thus abridging freedom of speech became an accepted policy and the first amendment's very clear language began to be ignored and over-ruled.

The Obama administration, the self-proclaimed "most transparent" administration in history, has made destroying the first amendment an art form, however. The actions, policies, radical beliefs, and speeches of many in the administration should make even the most laid-back defender of free speech pee their pants in fear.

Nowhere is this more evident than the vast seas of "czars" that Obama has appointed. During the election, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and some other folks on the right tried to make an issue of Obama's continued propensity for aligning with radicals, terrorists, socialists, and communists throughout his career. People scoffed and told us that they didn't care about such associations. Of course, even in the campaign, the only person making this case was Governor Sarah Palin. Senator John McCain, as part of his lifelong quest to become the media's favorite Republican, remained largely silent on Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dorn, Father Pfleger, etc.

Now, as President, Obama has continued these associations. One can only make one of two assumptions regarding all of these creepy appointments. Either Obama and his crew were drunk and/or high when they did the vetting process and therefore didn't discover/remember the radical history of the appointees, or they fully knew what they were getting into and they were cool with that. Most rational folks would correctly deduce that it was the latter (although widespread drug use among the administration largely consisting of far left extremists and former hippies can't be ruled out either.)

So, what's wrong with all these czars? Nothing, besides the obvious fact that they are not confirmed by the senate, are really accountable to nobody other than the Bamster, and have a secretive and undefined role. Let's take a look at their dim view of the first amendment rights and personal liberties:

Let's start with VAN JONES, the current focus of all things CZAR. Van Jones is the "Green Jobs Czar" for the Obama-Marx Administration, and he is on record saying the following:

1. Declared himself a communist and anarchist in light of the Rodney King incident.

2. Stated "we want redistribution of all the wealth" and "reparations for slavery" as well as a "move from suicidal gray capitalism to something eco-capitalism," but need to do so incrementally.

3. Believes the U.S. government was behind 9/11 as evidenced by his signature on a "Truthers" document also signed by other notable liberal nutbags like Ed Asner.

VAN JONES' record is crystal clear. He doesn't even attempt to hide anthing. Even his recent "apology" for the 9/11 thing only apologized if he "offended anyone" with his remarks and not for the remarks themselves. It is a record that has also been clear to the Obama Administration, as Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett (one of the folks who almost bought his senate seat from Governor Blago) stated in an interview that they "have been following Van Jones for years, ever since he came on the scene, out there in Oakland," and noted with glee that they were "thrilled" that they were able to "recruit him" to their administration. So ask yourself what need the President has of an avowed-racist, conspiracy-theorist communist seeking a revolution of the capitalist system as an advisor if not to pursue the same goals?

Obama FCC Chief Diversity Officer MARK LLOYD is so for free speech that he wants to silence any opposition to Obama on the radio by seeking to impose a tax on private broadcasting companies that would "equal their total operating costs to allow public broadcasting outlets to spend the same on their operations as the private companies do." Ask yourself what industry in America could afford to pay a "fee" that was equal to their entire operating budget and remain profitable? What then is the clear goal of such a policy? If it weren't clear enough, LLOYD has also advocated that conservative broadcasters would get a 250 million dollar fine simply for being conservatives. Does that sound like freedom of speech to you?

LLOYD's fines and fees are to fund public radio. Public, of course, meaning government-run, exclusively liberal media.  He also quotes extensively from Socialist Radical Saul Alinsky in making his point for government-run media.

Lloyd also praised Venezuelan Communist Dictator Hugo Chavez and his takeover of the media in order to retain his strangle hold on power:

"In Venezuela, with Chavez, really an incredible revolution--a Democratic revolution--to begin to put in place saying that we're going to have impact on the people of Venezuela...the property owners and the folks who were then controlling the media in Venezuela rebelled--work frankly with folks here in the U.S. government--worked to oust him and came back...and had another revoution. And Chavez then started to take the media very seriously in this country."

And of course, by "take seriously the media" he means to praise the actions on the part of Chavez to take the reigns of the free press and place them firmly into the hands of his dictatorship to ensure that no competing viewpoints got out there to the people (kind of like the ABC "news" special that was really an Obama infomercial without any room for opposing viewpoints.)

Another such Czar, Cass Sunstein, wants to have the ability to silence online reporters, bloggers and such if he disagrees with their position on issues, because their mere presence of disagreement with the government would be a "threat from within."

On another front, the Senate is currently considering a bill that would give Obama "emergency" control over the internet, with the ability to limit who can and cannot use the internet. Of course, in true Obama fashion akin to the health care bill, the wording will be extremely vague and innocuous sounding so that any number of interpretations could be made regarding what an "emergency" is. Given the folks listed above, of course, you will have total faith in the Obama Administration with folks like Sunstein, Lloyd, and Jones at the helm to make sound judgments regarding those "emergencies" right?

The First Amendment is being slowly and methodically strangled to death by the Obama administration. Following closely the teachings of Marx and Alinsky, Obama has continued to pursue a very extreme agenda and to appoint well-out-of-the-mainstream radical anti-American communists and extremists.

This should frighten every American. This is not a liberal or conservative issue. It is an American issue. There used to be a time in which liberals were for free speech. That time has long since passed and it is time that somebody speak out for the freedom of speech before it is taken away in another "glorious democratic revolution" like Venezuela.

Do the research. Go online and google these folks. Their record isn't hidden. As you read each and every horrifying detail, ask yourself what the agenda of the Obama administration is. Ask yourself why Obama would continually surround himself with these people. Ask yourself why the White House remains silent when these radical positions and opinions are pointed out by the media.  If Obama and his posse want to start a communist revolution in America, they should have the courage to make a public argument for it.  Let the people choose what future they want for their country.  If censorship, oppression, and communist wealth re-distribution is such utopian fun, you should have no problem making your case to the American people.

Liberal and conservative alike should stand together on this one. We don't have to agree on politics, but we should all agree on the right to express those views, after all, we're Americans.

Obama got into office with alot of people allowing things that the "normal" person wouldnt of been allowed to be involved in and still be "allowed" to run for President. First off, in his own book Obama explains that he was heavey into drugs. Then secondly was his association with people that was radical, going to prison or being tried.

Then in his first 100 days he changes alot of things with no vote of the people. Just did changes with executive order. Even on issues that we have voted for and turned down. Gay marriage for example. Been voted down repeatedly. So he bascailly back doored the american people with his Federal employees recognition of the same sex partners. Then he dropped the Cuban embargo on his own, with no congress or the people allowed to say anything.

Now he has the same radicals he assoicated with in the past, in the white house and now in charge of changing America. If Van Jones stays in the white house will show more disregard for the Citz of the USA

It could have been someone else like Obama. He is radical but he fits the "look and personality" of someone who is not a threat, he has a nice smile. Remember, in the beginning, I saw the "Obama Girl" ad long before I knew about Obama running for president. Who would have beleived that a sexual ad would launch a president. Don't you love progress.Conservatives will see good deeds by .org's and government as foundations for another Gore getting rich off of bogus ideas such as the "solar powered dryer" ... rope and clothspins. I would also like "World Peace" but it will never happen. Look at what the masses do for this human we call our president. They want to "serve" Obama, put a pledge to him in the school and take America and God out of all litterature even our ideas seem to anger Democrats. By the way, I never realized how angry and distrustful the majority of Demo.'s portray in the media. Will it be too hard to fight the "seeds" like Acorn and the roots they spread.

This article is so spot-on. We should be afraid. I am sick of people saying that this is what the country wanted; they voted him in. Well, let's not forget he had a very narrow margin of the country's support - barely over 50%. (Yes,for those libs who will cry but he won the election, I know he had those votes, but wasn't it Gore who screamed about the % in his favor versus elecoral votes?) Let's also consider the fact that the hope & change most people expected they would get is not what Obama intended to deliver. This has been the biggest bait & switch I have ever seen, but those of us who had really researched him and his views - even on his website - are not surprised because he had laid it out in black and white. If only the people and press had bothered to read it and not been overwhelmed with his race and ability to deliver a good speech. Substance over style, folks.

It is time folks. We have to organize to replace this congress with one that reflects American Values. Get off the couch. Talk to your friends. Heck, talk to strangers. Go ahead and be the crazy loon that sits out in front of the Market with a petition. Donate to the opposition candidate. Ask your friends to donate. Stick up those Obama/Joker posters. This is America. We still have the right to say what we want, when we want, to whom we want.

Becky, I wouldn't say Obama "barely" got over 50% of the vote. He got closer to 53% and beat McCain by a 7.25% margin, don't act like this was razor thin ala Bush-Gore in 2000.

You are asking the rest of to research politicians and their views before voting for them...that's fine, but why don't YOU try researching easy to find statistics like the results from 2008 election. Talk about bait and switch!

We have the right to assemble to air our grievances. So, darn it, lets assemble. Let's speak. Let's complain. Its either do or die. If we don't do these things now and elect a conservative congress in 2010 we, frankly, don't have a prayer.

What are You going to do?

American values or "your" values crazyloon?

And can someone explain to me how the proposing of fixing a rotten health care industry and opening up discussion in town-hall formats (to crazy loons like you even!) is strangling liberties and the first amendment?

    crazyloon,

The last time you elected a conservative congress and Republican President you screwed it up, big time! Why should any of us in the middle or those on the left trust you geniuses anymore than Obama and the Democrats currently running the show?

Erik, Erik, Oh poor Erik. You poor feelble minded liberal. It is pathetic that you twist reality so. This is a conservative country. Those ARE the facts. And, oh by the way, I think the health care system is broken and needs to fixed. I also think the last administration made a whole lot of mistakes.

    You poison your own argument.

Charles, Blake, etc. How much do you people really care about the past drug use?

Seriously were talking mostly about marijuana here...which will probably be legalized entirely (as it should be) in one to two decades. How square can you be to be offended by this and use it as a parallel drawn to Obama's political agenda and who he associates with?

Either Obama and his crew were drunk and/or high when they did the vetting process and therefore didn't discover/remember the radical history of the appointees, or they fully knew what they were getting into and they were cool with that. Most rational folks would correctly deduce that it was the latter (although widespread drug use among the administration largely consisting of far left extremists and former hippies can't be ruled out either.)"

This might be the most poorly thought out - not to mentioned lamest - paragraph I've seen from a political examiner yet. I'm amazed that someone could try and get away with this verbage in 2009

    crazyloon,

So are you admitting that you screwed it up royally last time when you elected a Republican congress and Bush?

And this is NOT a conservative country and more than it is a Democratic country. Look up the numbers if your own feeble mind can handle that...both conservatives and democrats make up a plurality of voters NOT a majority.

I'm not particularly liberal either. I don't subscribe to such titles and think it ridiculous that others do in 2009 when the meanings of liberalism and conservatism have been so mangled in recent years.

So we agree on health care then. You said you have the right to assemble and guess what, YOU DO! As shown by the legions of angry "conservatives" voicing their opinions at town-hall meeting across the country.

Why not be a tad more specific about your argument instead of calling me out and then basically agreeing with me at the same time!?

The beauty of freedom of speech is that you're free to write your asinine nonsense on the walls of your sanitarium in a medium of your own feces, while individuals with a grasp on rationality and common sense can rest assured that no sane person could take your ramblings seriously. Honestly, guys, did the last eight years just completely melt away from your memory, or are you just THAT stupid?

We are talking about a communist coupe going on under the radar. Doesn't matter which party you are favorable to . Instead of always attacking each other why not do a little checking and research , then present your views. Bush and Obama both are for a One World Order , Bush put many things in place that Obama is using. The leaders of both parties are playing us for fools. When no one has any rights left , and there are no elections , when we are told what to do , where to work, what health care we can have , what we can buy and what we can sell, everyone will be saying what happened. Theres an old saying whats the difference between Bush abd Obama , none! same crap different pile .

Do you even know any of these job titles you're talking about?

Name a single "Czar" job title that didn't exist in previous administrations. I dare you. You can't, because every single one was an appointed position in previous administrations.
