New Jersey First Congressional District GOP candidate Dale Glading held a rally outside of Representative Rob Andrews’ office last week to speak out on the recently “reconciled” Obamacare behemoth. A small crowd gathered outside of Rob Andrews’ office to begin the revolution that will put government back on the side of the people.

Glading assailed the Obama administration’s stellar record of economic growth that carries $14.3 trillion dollars of federal debt and sustains the unemployment rate at 9.7%. (That 9.7% also doesn’t take into consideration the countless Americans who have stopped trying to find a job or have settled for part-time work when they really need full-time employment. That number, also tracked by the government as the “underemployment rate” is a nary mentioned 17.4%, the second highest since the government began tracking that information.) It’s probably all George Bush’s fault though.

Mr. Glading also reminded us that there is “nothing to laugh about when government tramples the Constitution and seizes control of our banks, our car companies, our student loan programs and now our healthcare system.” To be fair, however, according to Michelle Obama, the president’s “home country” is Kenya, so maybe he’s not aware of what our Constitution actually says. Or maybe if he is aware, perhaps all the Marxists, Socialists, Communists, and terrorist radicals that he hangs out with skewed his view of our founding documents just a bit.

In fact, Mr. Glading, wrapped in the common sense so lacking in Rob Andrews and other menacing liberal overlords like him, pointed out that if the Democrats were even remotely interested in reform or affordability, they could reduce costs and increase services virtually overnight. Glading called for things like “portability, customized plans, larger discounts for healthy lifestyles, interstate competition and above all, tort reform.”

Those ideas are pretty much a no-go with the liberal Washington elite, inasmuch as they support free market principles and go against the Trial Lawyers’ Association. The trustworthy Trial Lawyers’ Association are the #1 contributor to Andrews’ Democratic party and have contributed financially to 60% of the folks in congress. (No word yet on the percentage of them that are all hiding secret mistresses’ and illegitimate children like their poster child John Edwards.)

Of course, Andrews’ own words told us that his plan isn’t about cost so much as it is about crushing the private market in healthcare and shifting America to a socialized European-style program of single payer government-run healthcare. Take a listen to this Air America interview where he openly admits that the reason he wanted a public option was to run the for-profit companies out of the healthcare sector completely.

Glading also points out the lunacy of Rob Andrews and his cohorts in propagandizing that the bill will help balance the budget. Adding 32 million folks to the healthcare arena doesn’t come cheap. The Heritage Foundation has already pointed out that there are 19 new taxes in Obamacare totalling $500 million dollars in new taxpayer liabilities. And that’s not even taking into consideration their “new math” of taxing folks for 10 years, while comparing that with 6 years of spending in order to balance the books.

Indeed, Mr. Glading has also picked up on a major theme covered here at the Camden County Conservative Examiner--namely, that Rob Andrews is no moderate or fiscal conservative. He has now gone on record to vote for Obamacare, Cap and Trade, Obama’s fiscal slight of hand known as the stimulus package, the AIG and auto bailouts, and of course Obamacare. In fact, Mr. Andrews votes with leftist nut-bag and Joker doppelganger Nancy Pelosi 99% of the time. Way to go independent-minded moderate Andrews! Thanks for breaking with the socialist orthodoxy that whole 1% of the time!

Mr. Andrews cannot claim moderation in his approach to fiscal matters in any way, shape or form. His agenda and voting record bear out a fiscal outlook that would make Communist Dictator Hugo Chavez swoon.

On the other hand, Dale Glading has proven yet again that he understands the stakes and the issues at play here. He also has demonstrated that he will be a reasonable voice for the folks of New Jersey in the House of Representatives.
