A safety and a wide receiver verbally committed to Cal during its summer football camp over the weekend, according to the Oakland Tribune and scout.com, giving the Bears six commitments for the class of 2011.
Maurice Harris, a 6-2, 191-pound wide receiver from Greensboro, N.C., had offers from Alabama, North Carolina and Clemson, among others, but has chosen Cal. Scout.com reports that he runs a 4.97 time in the 40-yard dash., but rivals.com has him at 4.5, which is a rather large discrepancy. He is the cousin of incoming Cal freshmen Keenan Allen and Zach Maynard.

Jordan Morgan, a 6-0, 187-pound safety from Chandler, Ariz., also reportedly told coach Jeff Tedford he will come to Cal in 2011.
Colorado, Kansas, Harvard and Yale were among the schools that had shown interest in Morgan, who could switch to a different position at Cal. He played quarterback as well as safety during his junior season. Both scout.com and rivals.com report his 40 time at 4.48.

No commitment is binding until they sign a letter of intent next February.
