Lifetime's LMN  is airing the film based on the story,  Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, on October 6 & 7, 2011. Lifetime TV will air the movie on October 8.

The Lifetime TV move was controversial when it was released, in February, 2011, because it sensationalized the trial of Amanda Knox, which was under appeal. The film purported to ask whether Amanda Knox was guilty or innocent of the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher. The Knox family and the Kercher family each objected to the movie, largely because of a violent scene depicting the murder.  Lifetime TV movie about Amanda Knox causes controversy
