Yesterday rumors began circulating at CES that Dell would be releasing a new tablet codenamed Streak. Tech rumors generated at CES tend to be generated over drinks in a bar, and surprisingly – most turn out to be true anyway. This is the case with the Streak, which was christened the Dell Mini 5 today. The news broke at a private round table press event hosted in its suite at the Palm’s Hotel.
The Dell Mini 5 will be demoed at CES2010 and is powered by Android 1.6. It will feature a SIM card slot, support multi-touch, and be available in black, pink, and red. It was also feature dual 2.5 mega pixel cameras – one in the back, and one in front.
Pricing and availability are currently unknown, but will be reported here as soon as Dell releases the information.
