Yesterday it seemed that the entire blogosphere was buzzing about the new Google phone. So far, we have heard precious few verifiable facts, but we think we now know the phone is called “Nexus One”. We also think we know it is built by HTC, and rumors of a Google and T-Mobile sales cabal were dispelled – Google apparently will be selling the phone unlocked, allowing users to choose their own cellular carrier.
Sorry, AT&T.
Yet the most interesting tidbit is a photo of the device, found by Cory O’Brien on his blog. He obtained a unit, took a photo of it, and then posted it on twitter. He next tweeted:
“Google Phone = iPhone + a little extra screen and a scroll wheel. Great touch screen, and Android.”
Now that the genie is out of the bottle, it is safe to assume the Great Google Leak Machine will continue supplying us with pictures and further details.
