Sadly, this morning ,at their home in a private community in Summerlin, Mrs. Kwasniewski, reportedly found her husband, "Randy " Kwasniewski , the 55 yr-old president and COO of the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino since 2006, dead. Reports say his death was from an apparent suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Police are investigating. A public statement is expected after the appropriate investigations are made.
Randy was recognized as one of the top paid executives in a publicly traded US company. Under his leadership, the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino underwent almost $1 billion transformation including expansion, hiring, and a new $60 million concert venue.
When someone we consider successful leaves us in a tragic way, we tend to look back, reflect, and re-evaluate our own personal meaning of success. His passing, will lead others to focus on their future and what they want to do from today forward.Unfortunately, many questions will never be answered.
With Randy's passing, many will reflect on how special life is, how short life can be, and how fragile we are as humans. Our prayers go out to his family and loved ones as they mourn his passing.
On Feb 18, 2010, The Joint was named the "Best New Major Concert Venue" at the 21St Annual Pollstart Concert Industry Awards. The Joint will have Grammy 2010 Best New Artist Winner Zac Brown Band performing Sat. March 13 at 8PM.
