The JM Family Enterprises, Inc., celebrates the lives of African Americans every year that make an impact on the South Florida community. It is broken down into categories, like business and education. Each year, a student is selected for a scholarship to college based on his/her academic and community service efforts as well.
Last year, I had the pleasure of attending the event, and it was a great time for networking with people of many backgrounds. Also, it was a pleasure to receive a special recognition award certificate for my community efforts through my company JMK Notary & Services. The prestigious event began in 1992 to honor everyday heroes by Jim Moran (founder of JM Family Enterprises), and after his passing, it continues as part of his legacy.
This year, I look forward to seeing more achievers make their mark on society. For more information, visit the Web site at www.africanamericanachievers.com. The event is scheduled for April 14, 2010, at 6:15pm in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. RSVP no later than April 9th to attend the free event.
