Tiger Woods accident update: why did Elin Woods take a club to her husband's Caddy?

Tiger Woods may have had minor injuries, but the scene of the accident early Friday morning must have been more than a little distressing if his wife felt she had to take a golf club to the rear window of a brand new Cadillac Escalade.

Really, I could care less about what happened. Maybe Mr. Woods had a seizure. Maybe he was impaired. Maybe he was sneaking out at night to get some pizza or some booty. Who knows. Who cares.

The speculation is running rampant on the World Wide Web that Tiger has been having an affair. I really don't understand why anybody cares if he is, because that's really a matter for only him and his wife. Nonetheless, a car accident just feet from your driveway where you hit a fire hydrant and then a tree and then your wife takes a golf club to your new Caddy - well, it makes you wonder what really happened, especially since his injuries were first reported as "serious". We should know more today, but really, does it matter?

I really do fail to see how an affair, if he is indeed having one, should bother his commercial sponsors or his fans. Aren't we the country where we judge people on their merits and not on things that are irrelevant, like skin color or personal life? If I were one of his sponsors, all I would care about is that he keeps performing - on the golf course. Same thing if I were a fan. Heck, if it could be medically proven that an affair improves your game or your ability to be President of the United States, I think even the FDA would come out in favor of it.

I'm not a fan of Tiger Woods nor do I dislike him. I do feel, however, that what is going on in his personal life is his business and really should remain a private matter. Until he starts preaching about the evils of adultery or homosexuality or whatever is the sin of the day (think Ted Haggard), then he deserves the respect and the privacy in return.

Still, you have to wonder what happened at 2:30 on Friday morning. Elin doesn't strike me as someone who would take a golf club to her husband's Escalade unless it was truly an emergency.

Or she was extremely angry at him.

Ah that's the curse of being famous and rich. All your doings, small or big will be reported world-wide. It's the only revenge people have against the obscene amounts of money some ( granted talented ) people earn, with small amounts of effort.

    >>If you don't care, why did you write this article<,

It's called taking advantage of headline news to corral readership.

But in all seriousness, Ms. Woods looks like the classic trophy wife for guys with pedestrian tastes -- the buxom blonde. And an artificial-looking busom at that! I'd be surprised if that marriage lasts forever. I just hope he doesn't pull an oj. (... or a Robert Blake -- you know what I mean!)

"Aren't we the country where we judge people on their merits and not on things that are irrelevant, like skin color or personal life?"

In golf, yes. A wonderfully objective sport.

In music, sometimes yes and sometimes no. Consider the success of 50 Cent versus that of Dexter Gordon (who moved to Europe to be appreciated - in the 1960's!).

QUERY: Does Mr. Cent even know what notes comprise, e.g., a "C Major" scale, let alone know what to do with them?

    Why care?

Tiger Woods monetary value is expected to reach the billion dollar mark this year. Investors and sponsors are rethinking their level of involvement because of this head injury and ...just possibly ...an asset-guzzling divorce.

    Stupid article.
The doors lock automatically- and if he was semi-conscous, that would be something she would HAVE to do to get access.
The woman he is supposedly having an affair with is in New York- and denies everything.
Leave Tiger alone- he has done more good in his life than you stupid, vapid bloggers will ever accomplish.
Get a life- and a real job.
If you can find one with a spell-checker.

Maybe alot of this is due to Tiger being bi-racial and he's married to a woman that is not bi-racial nor is he black had been married to a full black woman I dont think there would have been so many comments. Get a life people!

YES, Yes and yes....why should we care what goes on in his personal life unless he begins to condone the activities he himself partakes in. A lot of people care and talk about "shocking events" in others lives while justifying their own. I hope one day this world in general, becomes less "celebrity" oriented

Well,Sammy, it does matter....alot! Tiger is a role model which is why he has so many sponsors. If he is the kind of man who would break his vows to his wife he is an unethical pig. Unethical pigs don't sell dreams (or gatorade) as well. And further, his poor wife must be heartbroken. Their relationship is FOREVER changed if this is true. It probably is or why else would his private quiet wife come unglued. That is the reaction of a woman whose world has blown apart.

ahhhh, people spend so much time judging others! i totally agree with sammy. sure, it's interesting news when someone in the public eye does something unusual, but all in all it's none of our biz what they are doing behind closed doors. even if they're famous, still doesn't give the public full rights to their privacy. people are weird...if you care that much you need to get a life of your own.

Quite frankly, who cares! Whether or not he's having an affair with said woman is of no one else business but Tiger and his wife. This is what American media has boiled down to?! We have a country who's dollar is worth less than the fabric its printed on, to that; on the verge of a serious irreversible economic destruction... and we're worried about whom is F'n whom??!! are you serious??! I personally feel sorry for the poor saps that allow their minds, or child's mind to be influenced by random individuals that appear on TV; just because they excel in their chosen sport. Role model?, wrong, Tiger is no more a roll model then the individual delivering your mail, whom just as well could be meeting your wife/husband after hours...

End all, Tiger crashed his car... whoop-te-doo, hell I smashed up my turbo Integra Type-R, after cheating my hand in Texas Hold'em, but of course, I didn't make it on FOX breaking News! I feel I got cheated!!

I agree 100% w/ Hypnoticautopsy. We have way too many other things to be worried about. The economy being the very first and most important. Another IS the moral values of this country and its people, but a minor crash and possible infidelity; COME ON people!! I have no idea where all this cheating speculation came from, other than the GOSSIP shows and sites.

Worry about your country and those you chose to lead it!!!
