Michigan business acquires two international awards and significant company growth

Nearly 20 employees of 80-year-old Cincinnati Time Systems, located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, waited breathlessly as this year’s winners were announced. The news was almost too good to be true, as Cincinnati Time Systems won two international awards – NovaTime’s Top Business Partner of the Year, which they won three out of the last four years – and NovaTime’s Best Customer Service Award for the company that best services customers and has the most informed staff, which they now won for the fourth consecutive year.

“We were extremely excited and honored,” says president/owner Mark Dykstra. These awards speak highly of Cincinnati Time Systems being an industry leader and a growing and customer-focused company during such a challenging time in Michigan’s economy.

Since Dykstra came on-board 17 years ago, the business has grown from five employees to nearly 20, and sales revenues also skyrocketed. Cincinnati Time Systems initially represented solely time and attendance products and systems, and today they also offer access control, parking, and video surveillance products and systems. Dykstra’s philosophy, based on fundamental principles, is to grow slowly and make every decision count.

“We keep an eye on everything that we do to be sure that we provide quality and value at every turn,” says Dykstra, whose company business model, expertise and skilled technicians strategically lead the company in adapting to, and acclimating customers to, new and useful technologies.

Cincinnati Time Systems’ project management-based implementation system enables consistent, process-based steps and milestones to maintain project details, clear communication and deliverables. The company is known for building strong customer relationships, and their history of service and support includes local, on-sight service and training.

“While some competitors solely do web training and email support, we show up in person, are professional, accessible, and provide personalized service. Customers trust and appreciate us,” says Dykstra.
