Hurricane Earl is headed up the East Coast and may disrupt airline travel. Airlines including Southwest, Delta, AirTran, Frontier and JetBlue are offering passengers the ability to reschedule flights, and in many instances without fees.
The National Weather Service has now issued storm warnings all the way up the Eastern Seaboard to Massachusetts.The Category 4 hurricane is expected to approach the North Carolina coast by late Thursday. The National Hurricane Center also warned that Hurricane Earl could deliver some powerful storms to New England by Friday.

The Latest Hurricane Earl Airline Travel Information
Southwest Airlines posted the following information on their website:
Customers holding reservations for travel to/from Boston Logan (BOS), Long Island/MacArthur (ISP), Norfolk (ORF), or Providence (PVD) from Thursday, September 2 thru the close of business Saturday, September 4, are eligible to reschedule their flight in accordance with our accommodation procedures.

Delta Air Lines is allowing customers traveling to or through several Eastern cities could make one-time changes to their travel schedules without fees for people with flights on Thursday or Friday. The waiver covers more than 20 airports, including those in the New York area, Washington, Boston, Baltimore, and Wilmington, N.C.
AirTran Airways is allowing customers who are traveling through many Eastern cities, including San Juan, Puerto Rico, to change their reservations without penalty. This applies to flights booked for Wednesday through Saturday.
Jet Blue stated on its website that it is allowing customers the option to voluntarily rebook their travel without incurring change fees or fare differences.
This includes customers traveling in/out of Bermuda (BDA) on September 3, 2010 and in/out of Nantucket (ACK) between September 3, 2010 and September 4, 2010 may move to a new flight between the same cities, that depart anytime between now and September 6, 2010. Original travel must have been booked on or before September 1, 2010.
Frontier Airlines is allowing customers scheduled to travel through Newport News, Va. or Raleigh, N.C. between Wednesday and Saturday the ability to change their travel dates without a fee.
