Bryan Rock is an entrepreneur leading Project Management and Consulting, LLC (PMC) to new levels. Founded in 2007, PMC is a SBA 8(a), SDB, and MBE/DBE certified professional services firm specializing in project management, based in Fredericksburg, VA.
How did PMC get started?
Some would argue that PMC was in the making when Bryan was strategically selling candy out of his lunch box in kindergarten. Years later and experience from various entrepreneurial projects culminated to the launching of PMC. Bryan established PMC as a niche consulting business in the federal market implementing biometric projects for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the state of Maryland, in partnership with Cogent Systems, Inc.
What has contributed to PMC’s growth?
Bryan believes that a leader has to be out in the market learning as much as possible, and applying that knowledge to grow the business. With project management as their primary service, PMC has expanded their services to include business management consulting, data management, technical systems support, tactical support, and staff augmentation.
Who are PMC’s clients?
PMC continues in the growing biometrics industry as a subcontractor to the Army’s Biometric Task Force, and other projects with Cogent Systems. PMC has been selected to project manage biometric equipment and software installations in several locations in Haiti, as well as training for law enforcement as a part of infrastructure development.
PMC has also teamed to provide business, administrative, marketing, logistics, and program support for the Army’s Human Resources Studies and Analysis. PMC also partners with major prime contractors Cogent Systems, Inc., Science Applications International Corporation, and Booz Allen Hamilton.
What is next for PMC?
Bryan has clear goals. There should be a good blend and mix of federal and commercial clients to enable (a) achievement of a 20% year over year growth, (b) increased staff support, and (c) international presence. The target market includes serving as a prime to the United States Departments of Homeland Security, Defense, Health and Human Services, and Treasury.
PMC just inked a teaming arrangement with international corporation, Pcubed as a minority subcontractor (NY MBE) on a response to a solicitation to provide (in part) project management and analysis to the State of New York’s ARRA implementation council.
