An important community center which many of us attend for health reason is closed again. The staff person told me to come back next September!
The swimming pool was renovated and they did a great job. No private health club has a better pool.
Is this another instance of state and city cronies bilking the taxpayer to fix things that are not broken?
Look at all the road resurfacing taking place. Most of them didn't need resurfacing at all. Yets roads and bridges in dangerous disrepair go unfixed.
We need an independent citizens commision to oversee how these contracts are awarded, assisted by expert advise to assess what needs to be fixed and what doesn't.
And this waste of money is taking place during the Second Great Depression!
