Wynn Resorts is the most-admired hotel-casino operator in Fortune magazine's 2010 annual rankings.

It was the second consecutive year Wynn topped the industry rankings. Other Las Vegas-based casinos listed as "Contendors" in the category are Harrah's Entertainment, Las Vegas Sands and Boyd Gaming.

Wynn ranked second in the "Hotel, Casino and Resort" category for its innovation, and third for people management, quality of management and quality of its products and services.

The rankings are published in the business magazine's March 22 issue.

The magazine only ranks 10 companies in the industry, which excluded smaller Las Vegas-based companies. Among hotel, casino and resort companies, Marriott International is ranked No. 1 followed by Wyndham Worldwide, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Wynn Resorts and MGM Mirage.

Fortune's annual ranking is a much-anticipated list for which the country's top companies aggressively compete to be included. Computer company Apple was the most-admired company for the first year in a row.
