George is a wine professional and wine industry veteran of over 20 years. After attending Johnson & Wales for Culinary Arts he moved to Northern California and began working in the restaurant industry. He then graduated into the wine industry in the Napa Valley. His background includes stints with the St. Francis Hotel, San Francisco, Lafayette Park Hotel, Lafayette CA., La Belle Helene, St Helena CA, Cain Cellars Winery, St. Helena, Domain Chandon, Yountville and Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, Sonoma. In the course of his career, George attended U.C. Davis and passed the first level examination with the Court of Master Sommeliers. He resides in the Greater Philadelphia area where he grows grapes, makes wine, and teaches wine education to industry professionals and the general public. He is currently studying for his second level exam while touring the great wine regions of the world.
