Ever go on a trip and discover the best little place? You want to tell everyone about it and your scrapbook just doesn't seem to do it justice.
Well, now thanks to Ruba.com you can share your own unique travel finds with others. The site launched in April 2009 and has developed a nice little following and some fantastic travel guides submitted by people just like you.
Ruba's Community Manager, Erin Kiskis, says "the goal of our site is to make it fun and easy to browse and discover amazing new places around the world that best match a user's travel tastes." The result: unique guides like 48 hours in Mumbai by Alex Budak and Erin Colbert's personal travel-journal on her destination wedding, Getting Married in Maui.
The site is tightly integrated with Facebook and Twitter and allows you to ask "friends" and "followers" to contribute ideas and suggestions or their own travel guides for your upcoming journeys. And once you've used Ruba to upload your own travel guide, you can easily share it with others through these online social networking sites.
So the next time you want to share photos and stories of the cave behind your hotel in Ireland or the great little wine bar you discovered in Boston, you know how to do it. And next time you're headed to Paris, check out Anne's Day Trips from Paris guide.

Rachelle, what a fun site! I'm so glad you recommended it! I just finished my first list -- all the places I wish I could show the people who think California is just about Hollywood and surfing.
Oops, I meant to share the page. If anyone is headed for California, check it out, it's called "Southern California, Native"
Ruba really looks like NextStop....did one copy the other?
