For a quick, educational getaway, take a trip to San Francisco and visit the King Tut exhibit at the de Young Museum in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.
The exhibit features more than 130 treasures and other Eqyptian artifacts in the Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs exhibit. For those interested in King Tut, ancient Egypt, or archaeology, this is one of the best King Tut exhibit's ever shown. Included in the exhibit will be some King Tut burial objects, day-to-day objects, two coffinettes, and ther various artifacts and jewelry from the 18th Dynasty Royals.
Tickets to the exhibit are $22.50 for members of the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, $27.50 for the general public, $25.50 for Seniors(65+), $16.50 for kids age 6-17, and kids under 5 are free. The King Tut exhibit is open from 9 am to 6 pm Tuesday through Friday and Fridays 9am to 8:45 pm. Tickets can be ordered through Ticketmaster. Please note that each ticket purchased comes with an entry time.
