Fear makes people think and do interesting things. In the case of the swine flu epidemic...

Egypt: Ordered the slaughter of 350,000 pigs, though the flu is passed from person to person contact, not pig to person.

Japan: Mexican visitors must have entry visas.

Shanghai: 71 Mexicans quarantined in a hotel.

Singapore: All people arriving from Mexico must stay in isolation for seven days.

Acapulco: stones were thrown at cars with Mexico city license plates.

New Zealand: Those suspected to be infected with the flu are encouraged to drive to a hospital and honk your car horn three times, which will signal doctors to escort you to a quarantine station.
