Weekend Options 10/09/09-10/11/9

Its that time of the week again. Friday is wrapping up, and with lunch out of the way, all of Miami's 9-5 workforce is now counting down the hours until they can zip out of their business casual best and slip into something more comfortable. The weekend is upon us, and there are plenty of budget friendly options out there:

• Italian Film Festival - It officially started on the 8th and runs until the 13th of October, but this weekend marks the heart of the Italian Film Festival on the beach. The event takes place at the Regal Cinema South BEach 18, and are regularly priced. However, if youre looking to see at least 6 of the movies in the festival, I recommend picking up a 'movie' pass, which gives you passes to all the movies screening at the festival. Get tickets here
• Art Walks - Once again, the fall is teeming with awesome gatherings of artistically minded people networking and schmoozing over wine. This weekend, we have both the Wynwood Art walk and the Design District. So, which to go to? Depends on what your looking for. As a newer part of town, Wynwood tends to showcase younger, hipper artists, focusing on abstract and imaginative styles. Where Wynwood provides attendees with a more modern appeal, Design Districts brings class, where one is able to not only visit the individual galleries for their exhibits, but can also window shop some of the most amazing fashions in home decor. There are more galleries at wynwood, but they are further apart.
• The Vagabond presents LEE BURRIDGE & DANNY HOWELLS hosted by Back Door Bamby.A fixture at Back Door Bamby for quite some time, this Saturday Burridge will be bringing fellow partner in crime Danny Howells for a night of glorious beats, bass lines, mischief, and mayhem. Never a dull moment with them. Doors Open at 10pm and there will be cComplimentary Belvedere Vodka Cocktails From 10pm-11pm.
