Toss Up Salads: fantastic salads, wraps, soups, smoothies and more

Always on the lookout for truly healthy restaurant food, Toss Up Salads is a true find. Located at the southeast corner of Nova Drive and University Drive in Davie, it is a fantastic place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Whether your choice of seating is inside or outdoors on the front patio, your experience will be a breath of fresh air. The pale green walls and beautiful florals only hint at the delightful fare that awaits you.

This reviewer absolutely loves their concept of allowing the customer to create their own salads. While we were presented with a menu that will keep you coming back time and again for all their enticing choices, the ingredient list sheet we were handed worked perfectly for this picky eater. How wonderful it was to create the perfect salad for your particular tastes.

My companion enjoyed her meal just as much. Starting off with the Mexican Tortilla Soup, it was hearty and the balance of flavors was really to be admired. She knew that she would enjoy it as we were offered a small sample of the soups to try before ordering. She paired that with the Southwestern Wrap that was presented in a toasted black bean wrap. It was colorful, moist, delicious and filling.
 

We finished off our meal by sharing the amazing Molten Lava Cake. It came to the table looking like a piece of art and was the perfect ending to a wonderful lunch. Make sure to take a look at the slide show and you will see how it was almost difficult to take a bite from it.
 

Our server, Dhaniel, was attentive and very helpful. The assistant manager, Joanna, was sweet and informative. It was great to learn that they are open for breakfast Monday through Friday, with Joanna sharing that the Meat Lover Wrap is her breakfast choice. Also, a smoothie created with fresh (not frozen) fruit makes for a nutritious start to anyone's day. The specials change daily and include two soups. At least one soup is always vegan. Raised without the use of hormones, their meats are all natural. Some ingredients are even organic, including the spinach.
 

I cannot wait to go back and do more exploring of their wonderful menu. From their specialty juices to their breakfast offerings, there is so much to keep you happy and feeling good about what you eat there. Open from 7am to 8pm during the week, 10am to 6pm on Saturdays, they are then closed on Sundays. They offer free Wi-Fi and catering is available for your next event.
