
Almond Bark
These are some of the great homemade recipes you can make
to give out to family and friends for the holidays.
Try it with the white coating, almond or chocolate!!
PEANUT CLUSTERS
1/2 lb. almond bark or candy coating (white)
1/4 c. peanut butter
6 oz. chocolate chips
8 oz. peanuts
In double boiler, melt almond bark, peanut butter and chocolate chips together. Add peanuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Makes 3 to 4 dozen cookies.
TEXAS TRASH
1 box Crispix cereal
1 lg. can mixed nuts
1/2 lb. English walnuts
1 sm. bag pretzels, broken up
2 pkgs. white almond bark
Mix cereal, mixed nuts, walnuts and pretzels. Melt almond bark in a double boiler. Pour over cereal, mix and spread on waxed paper 1/2 to 1 inch thick. Cool; then break into pieces.
Almond bark cookies
2 pounds almond bark
1 cup peanut butter,chunky
4 cups Rice Krispies
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup peanuts
Directions:
Melt almond bark and peanut butter together in large glass bowl in microwave. When melted, stir in Rice Krispies, marshmallows, peanuts. Drop by teaspoonfulls on wax paper until cool.
Or just try coating these alone: pretzels, pecans, almonds, walnuts, cashews, popcorn, etc.
Make sure you toast your nuts first (until they turn light brown)
It really gives the flavor an extra boost.
