Fit in Clouds offers affordable and stylish fold-up flats for when your feet just need a break!

Fit in Clouds fold-up flats, $18.95 at fitinclouds.com.

If there's one thing all women can agree on, it's that heels are uncomfortable. Yes, there are gel inserts, heel pads, and other contraptions to ease the pain of high heels, but nothing feels better than when you finally get to take them off. That's why Boston-based company Fit  in Clouds has created a shoe that allows you to do just that: portable, fold-up ballet flats.

"I would often see girls walking barefoot with heels in hand at 2 a.m.," said designer and recent Babson College graduate Patrizia Damiani. "I would think, why can't they carry a small foldable shoe in their purse? I got a team together to design this product and make it happen."

Slightly larger than an iPhone, these flats (called "Clouds") fit easily inside most handbags. They are made of satin and come in three different colors - gold, metallic pink and black. At the end of a long workday or night on the town, you can simply remove your heels and slip on your Clouds. They are as comfortable as slippers, but safe to walk in because of their rubber soles, explained Damiani.

The Clouds retail for $18.95 and are sold online at fitinclouds.com and at Passport Boutique, located at 43 Brattle St in Cambridge's Harvard Square. According to Damiani, Fit in Clouds plans on adding more retailers soon.

Anna's Note: These flats are extremely comfortable - they feel just like slippers! If you have ever worn sneakers with your work wear, danced barefoot at an event, or woken up with excruciating blisters, then you need a pair of Clouds. I'll definitely be carrying mine this weekend!

Actually these are pretty compact, equivalent to the size of an iphone and much more sturdy than footzytrolls. Fit in Clouds also offers more color variety!
