I suggest a small test spot close to another wall that will not be painted. Lowes is helpful in offering suggestions for project ideas and their great prices help keep it within the budget. A good gallon of paint can range between 20 to 25 dollars. Paint brushes are reasonable as well at 10 to 30 dollars. They can assist you in finding the right one for you.
