Desert landscapes are wonderful draw because you can either go out in nature and sketch what you see, or use a photograph from one of your nature walks for the drawing. This is part one of a multi-part series on drawing a desert landscape, which is a fun way to make more artwork for the walls of your home. Drawing your own pictures is economical, and it allows you to decide what type of art you want to display. The materials used for this first part of the drawing consist of:
- a digital photograph of the desert side of the San Bernardino Mountains
- recycled computer paper
- a sketch pencil
Using recycled computer paper for your drawing projects is a great way to reuse unwanted items, and no one will be able to tell the backside of the page was printed on once the artwork is framed. Take a look at the slide show below to see how this first part of the desert landscape was sketched.
