Any given 2nd or 4th Sunday of the month you can find Buddhist youth in Miami "Rocking the Era", a slogan used to call for young women and men to join  Miami Buddhists youth in taking responsibility for shaping the future.  Some of these dynamic young people are making inroads in society by dealing with global issues in a manner and with a passion that could be determinants of outcomes in the future. By participating in events such as the 2009 United Nations International Peace Day  along with young people from various organizations in and around Miami, these Buddhist youth have demonstrated the capacity to stand up for world peace. "Rock the Era" gatherings will continue until July 2010 to culminate in an 80th Anniversary celebration of  Soka Gakkai International (Value Creation Society)

This is a time when there is unprecedented violence in the schools. Many youth are seeking answers to the events of the era. These positive activities offer a meaningful alternative for young people to participate with their peers in musical activities, share experiences and learn value creation. Young people of all ages are welcome to attend.  Even grown ups are welcome.  Prepare for a rousing, fun-filled day owned by the youth who own the future. The next "Rock the Era" event is:
