Ten Sacramento Dharma teachers from varied traditions offer their messages for the year 2012. The messages suggest ways to carry the teachings of Buddha throughout the year. There are many ‘Jewels and Gems’ of temples, churches and groups in greater Sacramento, the attached video introduces a few of the guiding leaders of Buddhism in this area.
The Buddhist temples, churches and groups represented in the video are open to everyone and welcome all who seek a better understanding of Buddhism, who wish to study and/or practice Buddhism, or are searching to find their own path with Buddha.
Whenever visiting Buddhist Temples, Churches or Practice Centers, always be courteous and respectful of Buddhist and cultural customs. Remove shoes before entering a practice area, sit quietly and observe how other practitioners proceed, such as bowing, offerings, etc. Ask questions when in doubt, members are always willing to help newcomers.
