Tragically, now thirteen people are dead from the Terrorism that took place at Fort Hood yesterday. Do you think that the President of the United States could be a little more sincere and not have to read notes to show sympathy? The only time the President showed any emotion was when he talked himself and that was rude. He did nothing to console the American people.
Fort Hood was an act of terrorism, the worst since 9/11/01. Our President looked inconvenienced by this and anxious to get on with his American Indian speech. The mainstream media blamed Bush for 9/11 and for Katrina, an act of nature. Nothing yet has been said about this being terrorism or this terroristic act being on Obama's dime. Mainstream media: Stop the double standards and get a backbone!

Obama was told about what happened at Fort Hood before he even went before the podium. He should have put everything else to the side and dealt only with the massacre at Fort Hood. Those present would have understood. He should have started things off on a somber note and ended them on a somber note. He did not do that, though. He had to give a shout out first and whoop it up.
The man that Obama gave a shout out to (Joe Medicine Crow), Obama said had won the Congressional Medal of Honor. No, he won the Medal opf Freedom. So Obama botched even his shout out to Crow.

First off, I agree that his speech should have focused solely on the Fort Hood shooting...all the other stuff is fairly inappropriate given the circumstances. However, I think the term "Act of Terrorism" is a little inappropriate this early on, as it seems to just be the actions of one lone person. Also, I'm not one to throw around the word "racist" much, and am especially wary of using it to describe criticism of the president. But the fact the the term "Shout Out" (hip-hop slang) is becoming the buzzword to describe this event leaves me at a loss to think of any other reason for the choice of words other than a subtle racist jab.
P.S. FoxNews is the #1 rated news channel...so lets stop acting like they're not the "mainstream media."
oops. I wasn't aware that he actually used the term "shout out." I heard excerpts of the speech earlier, and heard it described as a "shout out," but they didn't play his actual use of the term.

I think Obama needs a script and his writers didn't have time to write a good on Fort Hood. I'm sure his speech at Fort Hood will be great but will it be him. He is a cool and rarely shows un-scripted feelings. "The One" is "The Team" and they maybe the real problem with Obama.
Why was this an act of terrorism? Because he was Muslim? Did you consider the Virgina Tech shooting an act of terrorism? Please clarify your statement lest I think this is nothing more than thinly veiled racism.
