In arrogant state of affairs in the Senate this afternoon, Democrats shelled out taxpayer dollars to buy the 60th vote they needed to start debate on the healthcare legislation. 300 Million dollars went to Senator Mary Landrieu's state to buy her vote for healthcare.
Adding insult to injury, Landrieu actually admitted on the Senate floor this that it was the money going to her state that decided her vote. She admitted also that the $100 million everyone thought was the original figure to buy her vote turn into $300 hundred million.
Democrats bought the vote with taxpayer dollars. We had no say whatsoever in what or where these dollars went but they were used to convince and persuade a public official to vote a certain way. If we did this as common citizens, wouldn't this be considered bribery? Wouldn't this be considered breaking the law?
Ms. Landrieu did not do what is best for the country or what she felt was best for the country. She saw dollar signs and she went after them. When is this woman's seat up? Maybe the people of Louisiana are cheering for her but our founding fathers were rolling over in their graves today.
Hopefully, with our checks and balance system, someone will bring a charge of bribery against those who brought this vote with our money. Any lawyers out there? Could this end up in the Supreme Court?
This is politics at its worse. This is dirty and an insult to all of America. Ms. Landrieu and Democrat leadership are the picture of corruption. We all should show our outrage by taking action and calling Ms. Landrieu's office.

Come 2010..... come! I am sick and tired of the undermining of our Constitution. In business this would be considered fraud.
Louisiana will never see that money, it will go right into Landrieu's pocket. And when the final vote comes in, the price will be triple that. Funny how nothing was mentioned about what Nelson and Lincoln got. You know if they didn't get anything this round, the final vote will definitely be a costly one to those two. Snow will also get on that band wagon along with the rest of the so called moderate Democrats.
After Katrina, all she did was praise the officials... Everyone wa slike WHAT???? She praised herself and others... Seems to me I recall them doing an aweful job. This w as NOT all of George Bush's fault. I live here in Louisiana and these people didn't have a clue. She was so busy praising the officials in an interview with Anderson Cooper, that he stopped her and gave it to her good. Anderson should move over to FOX! He is decent...and doesn't belong on CNN... He smacked her down so much. I loved it.
She is one lady so full of herself. I pray she gets voted out!
Also she and all her sister went to Ursuline Academy, where the Ursuline nuns taught...she's a catholic, and yet she is pro choice!!!! Seems Mary wasn't lisetnning at all during religion class. What a joke she is.
