Who is the real Nazi, President Obama or Lyndon LaRouche?

Lyndon LaRouche depicted with Hitler moustache

Who is the real Nazi, President Obama or Lyndon LaRouche the man who has labeled our president as a Nazi?

In recent weeks as the health care debate has gotten dirtier and packed full of outright lies and gross exaggerations of pure fantasy. One man has used his resources to smear Obama and label his health care reform efforts as “identical” to Adolf Hitler’s genocidal program called “T4.” LaRouche has recently begun calling for Obama’s impeachment.

Go to Lyndon LaRouche’s website and you see numerous videos describing Hitler’s Tiergartenstrasse 4 program of forced euthanasia, the genocide of imperfect humans and ethnic cleansing. He then takes video clips of President Obama and his advisers, taking them totally out of context and craftily makes them correlate to the T4 story.

In the eyes of Lyndon LaRouche, a man who has campaigned to become President of the United States no less than eight times, he views our duly elected President, Barack Obama as a hateful, genocidal maniac who is using this country’s economic crisis to take over the government and form a Nazi style dictatorship, with absolute power, complete with death squads over which Barack Obama will personally have the final say over whether you live or die. All of this will happen simply to save the government money on health care costs. That's fairly drastic measures to balance the budget.

So who is the more dangerously radical of the two men, Barack Obama or Lyndon LaRouche? You decide.

As a young man, Lyndon LaRouche had a long history of radicalism and became a Marxist, a Trotskyite, later joined the SWP, the Socialist Worker’s Party, and became associated with an offshoot of the SWP called the Revolutionary Tendency. He later joined the Spartacist League and then broke off to start his own faction called the Fifth International. The list of LaRouche’s involvement with radical groups goes on and on including the Maoist Progressive Labor Party (PLP), Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), and the National Caucus of Labor Committees (NCLC) which he founded, and under his direction in 1973 began “Operation Mop-up.” As part of Operation Mop-up, members of the NCLC violently attacked meetings and individual members of the Communist party and the SWP with nunchakas. LaRouche justified these attacks as he labeled these groups as “left-protofascists.”

Lyndon LaRouche, a man who is bitter against the U.S. government after spending 5 years in prison for mail fraud and tax evasion, is using these same life-long tactics of smear against our President. His political action committee is the source of the posters which depict President Obama with a Hitler mustache. These posters have been seen at some of the anti-health care reform demonstrations (see photo middle right). It’s easy to paint a Hitler mustache on anybody (see example, photo top left) nand a cheap trick for LaRouche to gain radical followers. But a simple Photoshop job on somebody doesn’t tell the truth of what’s really in their heart or their motives.

Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States is a true patriot who loves his country, and whose personal history shows he has never harmed anybody in his life. Even as he was personally attacked during his presidential campaign he always took the high-road, and never descended to the level of the Far-Right's attacks against him. He is the man who was entrusted by the majority of voters in November to set this country back in the right direction. Lyndon LaRouche is a radical, bitter old man who has managed to gather a following of some of the most radical fringe followers in this country.

Just the very fact that he lives in a country where he has the freedom of speech to depict our President in such an outrageous fashion proves that he lives in a country that is nothing like the nation of fascist doom that he depicts on his website. Lyndon LaRouche would like to convince you otherwise and he will use all his money and years of built-up hate to do so. A man like Lyndon LaRouche will continue to touch the ignorant and the equally delusional conspiracy theorists of our time. He his dangerous, but his beliefs are so radical, they are counter-productive to any hopes of real massive recruitment for his cause. For that we can thank the man himself, Lyndon LaRouche, super-radical fanatic.

Well put. LaRouche is a nutjob and this nonsense is highjacking serious debate in this country about healthcare.

If you're not sure that LaRouche is right, do a search on Ezekiel Emanuel! For example, read his article in Lancet in January. Watch Anton Chaitkin's confrontation of Emanuel at an event (available on YouTube). Then you get a better idea of why LaRouche decided to put the spotlight on this policy early on, before it's too late, like it was in 1939.

It doesn't mean to say that the genocide has already begun, but somebody has to call a spade a spade on time. We owe that to coming generations.

Obama is just an average man with a much-bigger-than-average ego - and that's what's really dangerous.

Wow. Way to avoid the real issue. You neglected to mention that the basis of LaRouche's attacks are well-documented with a wealth of material from Obama's "health care reform" team advocating that controlling "costly treatments" is more important than human lives. Not to mention the fact that kooks like Daniel Callahan, a board member of the American Eugenics Society, and Peter Singer, a long-time advocate of infanticide against deformed or mentally retarded children, have come out praising Obama's emphasis on "cost effectiveness".

Also liked how you gave us readers the opportunity to decide who the real Nazi is right before you praised Obama as a great patriot and denounced LaRouche as a bitter old man... If you did some real homework on topics such as the history of the eugenics and euthanasia movements in U.S., instead of reading a few bullet points about LaRouche, you'd probably stop ranting about things you have no knowledge of.

Steve, I was advised by one of my readers of the horrible euthanasia infanticide document titled "Principles for the allocation of scarce medical interventions" by Govind Persad, Alan Wertheimer, and Ezekial Emanuel.

Instead of finding the Orwellian horror story that I expected, I found a well written, well-thought document on a very difficult subject. Tell me Steve how would you determine which of a hundred people waiting for a liver transplant gets the one liver that becomes available? Somebody somehow has to make that decision.

Those who are opposing this legislation are exaggerating every point on the table and turning each point into a dramatic fairytale that goes way beyond what the bounds of our government with its checks and balances would ever permit.

To say that LaRouche's views are based on rational fact indicates how extreme your point of view must be. LaRouche is a radical anti-government nut who is the last person who should be painting Hitler mustaches on peopl

    Andy,

LaRouche's "evidence" is one statement taken out of context after another. His videos are well put together, but being a good film editor doesn't make his video fantasies anything near actual evidence.

I can only base my judgment on what LaRouche himself presents on his own PAC website, along with his past history. The only conclusion I can come to is that LaRouche is a frustrated politician who because of his radical viewpoints and beliefs, was never able to get beyond a few thousand token votes from voters equally as radical, in his eight presidential bids.

Now suddenly I'm supposed to believe that he is going to save the country from the villainous Barack Obama? He is a nut pure and simple. Of course that's just my opinion.

Thanks for your comment Andy, and thanks for allowing me the freedom to respond.

Methinks she doth protest too much. Ha Ha Ha. Caught in the act of being a fascist, you media whores resort to the "No you're a Nazi!" wet diaper rant. Just admit it, LaRouche saw through the sophistical language, went back to the history of the Nuremberg Tribunals and found where a bunch of egomaniacs (who wanted to save money too) were tried and hung for refusing medical care. Duh, I guess the reason the Americans said, "Never Again" was for people who want to kiss up to establishment power like the humorless author of this article. Ha Ha Ha.

    BillFromDetroit,

The only reason I took the time to write this article, was that in the course of writing a previous article, I used the photo of a protester who was carrying a poster with Obama depicted as Adolf Hitler. When I looked closely at the photo, I read that it was provided by larouchepac.com.

Outraged by such a far-fetched and ridiculous depiction of the President, I researched LaRouche's website, researched his personal history, and voila.

Although I had remembered his name from past presidential elections, I admittedly wasn't that knowledgeable about him other than the fact that he was a perennial presidential loser.

What I found was an historically radical, government-hating political activist, who for all his government distrust desperately wanted to lead the very thing he hated so much. Part of his radicalism obviously stems from his frustration at losing.

I was totally straight when I wrote this Bill, but thanks for your concern. Thanks for the co

August 12, 2009 —Author and critic Lee Siegel, celebrated as an eloquent liberal, wrote a powerful attack on the Obama health-care plan's murderous intent which is "helping to kill the plan." The article, "Obama's Euthanasia Mistake," appears in the blog, "The Daily Beast".

"Make no mistake about it," Siegel writes. "Determining which treatments are cost effective at the end of a person's life and which are not is one of Obama's priorities. It's one of the principal ways he counts on saving money and making universal health care affordable."

He quotes Obama fudging and evading an answer to an interviewer's direct question on whether a government board would enforce life-or-death decisions about "end-of-life care."

Siegel shows that it is precisely the poor and vulnerable — the very people supposed to be served by the Obama "reform" — who would be the mortal victims of withdrawal of care. They "would be the only people forbidden access to expensive life-extending technology.

Do you actually believe that the U.S. government with all its checks and balances would ever allow anything even mildly resembling what Hitler did to happen?

If you answer yes to that, you maybe should study how the government works, and delete LaRouches link from your "Favorites".

Thanks again for the comment, and I'll get back to you.

    Truth Seeker,

I read Lee Siegel's article in the Daily Beast, and while it is well written, I'm afraid I just don't read the same view he sees in the wording from page 425. I also don't see how this bill would single out low-income people and be more likely to peg them for euthanasia. This bill, if the Republicans and Blue Dogs don't manage to chop out the public option is designed to bring more low-income people into the health care fold. Discussing a living will with their doctor is not a bad thing, I think it is a good thing.

I watched my mother dying of cancer receiving treatments and tests to "cure" her up until two or three days before she actually expired. If she had received palliative instead, her death would have been much more comfortable for her, and would have cost the health care system much less.

The slippery slope is in allowing doctors and hospitals to just keep piling on procedures in order to jack up the bill. I know it happens, because I saw it with my own

LaRouche's league of college-dropouts are not provided with health insurance by LaRouche, and receive only (crowded) rooms and board (and $20 a month if they are lucky). The older members of his organization that have worked slavishly for him for 30 years are now ridiculed and lambasted as "Baby Boomers" and viewed as a drain on the organization--especially if they need health care. Members are lambasted if they do not raise together $125000 a week for LaRouche.... Much of that money flows to a LaRouche Movement Limited Liability Corporation (among several other corporate entities).... Where does that money go? Why a Limited Liability Corporation, BillFromDetroit? Why not a non-profit? LaRouche's organization has pressured many of its members in the past to have abortions.... so they could maintain their revolutionary productivity in raising funds for LL. Who is the REAL NAZI?? Where is LaRouche's health plan? He only cries out for a return to Hill-Burton.. (still current law)

Hi William, Thank you for this article. I am not a fan of Lyndon LaRouche's (LL) bedroom manner and his lpactv messengers. The article is very accurate of LL's history and organization.

I took the time to see his featured documentaries. I am a person that likes to see other points of view other than cable talking heads have to offer.

That being said, all of LL's critics attack LL personally and for maybe cause, but offer very little in anything to rebut his interpretations of historic fact. Such as the rise of the Bush dynasty, The history of the federal reserve.... ect...

These are things my school and university kept out of textbooks and lectures so I wonder why? I am not an LL supporter but I feel that I am more aware of some american history now than what i got in school. I have crossed referrenced LL's historical recount to authors and documentaries and found very little deviation.

I am looking for for a critic of LL based of historical fact, and not personal.

One need not consider pros or cons about Mr. LaRouche to know President Barack Obama. Obama's early mediocre record speaks for itself. His performance since becoming president confirms his lack of meaningful experience and his bias against everything that our ancestors built and fought and died for.

Is Obama a capitalist? The merest suggestion that he might be is laughable. Is he a constitutionalist? All that he has proclaimed himself to stand for is an affront to our constitution. Does he know what he is doing? I believe he does.

Is it fair to say that he is out to destroy the United States as we have known it? The answer does not matter. Only the fact that he and the U.S. Congress are effectively accomplishing that end should be taken into account. Pay no regard to what they say or claim to intend....attend to only what they do.

What was heretofore supposed to be our government...is totally out of control, and has been for decades. We are about to lose it all.

Great article and great comment by "Hitler Youth about this sick cult run by Larouche for nearly 40 years. About 300 million dollars has been wasted bny this madman in persuing his delusions. The cult had amny memebers sent to prison along with Larouche for stealing nearly 34 million dollars from our elderly supporters in the 1980s. After doing this, the cult has the audacity to tell people that they care about the elderly.

    What a load of trash.

The cult has thrown the older members off of their health insurance rolls as younger and naive college drop outs can work for nothing and cost less to keep alive then someone who has spent 40 years inhaling auto fumes and neglecting their health for a cult leader.
