Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief catwalk show took place in New York tonight, February 12, to a sold-out audience. Unusually for Fashion Week events the show was open to the public, but tickets were required to support relief in Haiti.
The Duchess of York, ex-wife of Prince Andrew, herself took to the catwalk as presenter and supporter of the event. The Duchess, Sarah Ferguson, wore a complex black gown with floating tulle and silver accents, Other celebrities like Diane von Furstenberg and Kelly Osbourne also paraded 92 donated designer outfits alongside professional models like Selita Ebanks.
Rachel Zoe was responsible for the models' looks, and the clothing will be auctioned off to benefit CARE and the White Ribbon Alliance.
Tonight's event was not the only time Royals have been in the news regarding fashion. Yesterday, February 11, the Duchess of Cornwall attended Anna Valentine's spring collection show in London. The Duchess carried a Lulu Guinness purse featuring a colorful rendition of a first class stamp, complete with the Queen's head. This show benefited Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres, of which the Duchess of Cornwall is Patron. Ms. Guinness was also among the guests.
